Rough Record

Aim: To get signature on the rough record.

Components and Equipments Required: Long Book, Pen, Pencils, A HUGE Eraser, Lots of Glue, Paper and Ear Plugs.

Theory: The rough drafting process is based on Cautious's statement which states that "It is impossible for a self acting student to get his/her record signed at the first try without the help of divine intervention."

Procedure:

1. Record what was seen in class... ONLY what was seen in class.

2. The rough record is presented to the evaluator with ears plugged. Lip movement is observed. . Tongue is tied and lips are zipped.

3. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the evaluator to lay the rough record to waste.

4. Retrieve record. Make appropriate corrections.

Repeat Steps 2 to 3 until signature is obtained

Result: Signature is obtained (hopefully). A mortal lesson in patience is studied.

The Aftermath

The buzz around the whole suspension deal died down within the day. I guess the H.O.D saw that coming. That's why he's so vigilant in plucking out free periods from our time table. A dozen free periods for one - that's the deal we signed when we walked out that day. Just when I thought i could cut back on the whining, this comes along.

In effect I've lost the zest to come to college. With no more free periods to look forward to I know I'll have to sit through 6 whole periods everyday. That takes yet another toll on my spirits.

Cut, Suspension, Defamation

History in the making - but one I'm sure none of us would want to remember. I'm sure everyone's heard the story by now; Mass cut of H.O.D's class - pissed H.O.D - suspension on Monday [7/7/08] and our notoriety spreading like wildfire (Thank God we didn't cut the whole day!). So what should come next? I'd say... Resolution. Resolution that we won't cut at all from now on (impossible!)? Resolution that we won't yield to peer pressure?... Be it whichever. I'm sure all of us will have some excuse or some ill heeded advice we can all claim to be prefixed with "Njaan appozhe paranjatha...". But none of it changes the fact the we did cut the class. I don't know about you guys but from now on I'm the boss of me. It's no longer a question of unity but of.... self-preservation.

We've lost our "impression" anyway. So its 'Kalu Pidi' ceremony on Monday :P . You are cordially invited!
